Here is a shot from a photoshoot I had at Akon 2012~
Finally I was able to have a full body shot of the entire outfit~! I simply love this character who sells "Love, Dreams, and Hope". This shot is with me and my "pet". The design was from one of my favorite official artworks I saw of him and I then added my own flare to it~ ♥

A Little About The Costume
This costume was a bit of a miracle considering I had to not only draft out the entire pattern for the outfit, but so much detail work went into it in such a short amount of time. The elongated train in the back is my own personal touch. Since his outfit is inspired by the peacock, I wanted to incorporate that into the shape of the outfit. The design on the train also resembles that of a peacock tail with more feathers added there by me~ ♥ Over 6 yards of trim were hand-sewn into the gown. The neck arrangement was made from trim I made and hand-sewn into the shape you see. Glass beads were also sewn into the tassels from the neck arrangement. The peacock feathers on the gown were hand-arranged and made as well. The nails on my left hand were painted by myself as well.

Not only that but I sculpted the bird with paper mache and a wire frame skeleton I built. Each feather had to be placed and glued as well! Tedious work indeed!
