Here is a shot from the small photoshoot I had earlier in the year~
This is definitely one of my favorite movies Miyazaki has made and a dream cosplay of mine~ :heart:
Though before even attempting to make this costume, I did take time to actually read the novel and see just how it differed from the movie. I enjoyed both in their own magical ways~

:bulletpurple: A Little About The Costume :bulletpurple:
This costume.... Was a very time consuming piece of work. This image doesn't depict much of the jacket that I made, which was the most time consuming part of this costume. Please jump to an image with the jacket on it for details on it. For this, the white top was indeed made by me. Lace detailing as well as beading was used. I also managed to create my own texture of fabric by combining two different fabrics for various areas of the top. The jewelry (minus the rings) were made by my own hand and are featured below. I took inspiration from the Miyazaki movie, but I also read the novel and took a lot of inspiration on the descriptions of Howl's "flashy" appearance.

More pictures to come~! Enjoy~ :heart:

:star: Special Thanks :star:

:bulletpurple: Thank you as always to :iconapertureashley: for road-tripping with me to the shoot location, sharing time, and managing to capture photos of this outfit~! Thank you girly~ :heart:

+: Up-Close Look of the Jewelry :+

I just.... wow. Wonderful because I feel like it really catpures Howl's perspective on life and his mood! How wonderfully symbolic and stunning. ^^

Loved the book, didn't love the film quite as much, but this looks so good! The effort on the costume really shows and the location looks fantastic!

Heh. I saw the film before I read the book. The book did clear up a lot of
things though~ And thank you! I hope that my hard work shows! ><;
